Location

The summer course is organized at Muurlan opisto. It is located in the idyllic Muurla village near the city of Salo, some 100 km northwest of Helsinki.

How to get there

By bus
The express services between Turku-Helsinki stop at Muurla design store, a couple of kilometers from Muurla opisto. Please check the timetables on the travel service website: www.matkahuolto.fi. We can pick you  from the bus  stop before course starts, just let us know beforehand.  The journey from Helsinki takes about 1,5 hours.

By train

If you need a car transport from the bus stop at the main road, please let us know ( e-mail kesakurssi [at] cmah[piste]org ) the time of arrival of your bus to the Muurla exit. 

By car

Travel time by car from Helsinki is about one hour (109 km), from Turku  under one  hour (68 km).

Accommodation

There are several room types available in different buildings, either single rooms or 2-3-4 person rooms. The number of single and double rooms is limited. You can either bring your own sheets and  towels or get them from the college with a small additional cost.

Meals

The course meals are served in the restaurant of the college.   Evening meal is available with a small additional cost. In case you follow a special diet, please indicate it in the registration form.

A grocery store is nearby. 

Swimming

Piilijärvi beach is about 6 km from the college. The lake nearby the college is unfortunately not suitable for swimming due to blue-green algae. Own swimming towel is recommended.
